Alert: Formica’s 100th anniversary book Formica Forever

In honor of their anniversary, Formica also sent us a special edition Eames Wire Base Low Table. Created in concert with Herman Miller, which still manufactures this design, Formica’s special edition tables have been topped with designs from their 100th anniversary laminate collection. Our table has the Red Ellipse. Small in scale — just 10″ high — the table was designed by Charles and Ray Eames and introduced in 1950. These special edition Formica tables were not created for sale to the general public. They were special VIP giveaways — and Formica sent us one, because they know we are laminate lovers who take care to give laminate, laminate designs and laminate history the respect and admiration they deserve.
